A piece of Turkish turquoise cut into a cabochon and mounted within silver oval frame forming a pendant, suspended from a silver chain. From very early times it was believed widely that these precious materials were of heavenly origin and that a special relationship existed between certain stones and planets and later with months of the year. Hence December has Turquoise as its birthstone.
